Noir Lounge to Bring ‘Cheeky Movie Theater Snacks’ to Hayes Valley

Noir, which we first heard about going into the former Frjtz (581 Hayes) in Hayes Valley back in April, looks to be getting set for a December opening. As Eater notes, there’s a website up, complete with soundtrack and black-and-white film clips, which tells us we should “prepare to be overly impressed, astounded and captivated” by the place. The theme is the “1940s Jazz Era,” and there will be both “cheeky movie theater snacks” and California cuisine from chef Adam Hinojosa of Per Diem. Also, there will be beer and wine, and a private room available for groups. We’ll update you as the opening approaches. [Eater] Update: The liquor license application just went in as of October 24, so we’re going to wager right now that Noir won’t make it open in December.
