
This Sunday, South L.A.’s Mercado la Paloma plans a Dia De Los Muertos Festival from 11:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M., with a selection of representative eats on hand from the market. Entry is free to the event, organized by Xamanism as part of Esperanza Community Housing Corporation’s new “Cultural Continuum” project, expect an eleven-hour celebration with music, Day of the Dead altar contests, sugar skull decorating, papel picado and mask making, theater, shopping, and dance on six stages to welcome back the dead and entertain the living. 3655 South Grand Ave.
