Grub Street broke the news a few months back about K-Pop (499 Castro Street), the new Korean restaurant landing at the busy corner of 18th and Castro from the owners of nearby Barracuda Sushi and Osaka Sushi. Now Zagat finds that they’re just about ready to open, and they’re aiming for next Wednesday, October 24, if all goes well with final inspections. Expect an intimate space with big windows onto the street, dishes like galbi, mandu, and bi bim bop, and, hopefully, K-pop blaring on the stereo. [Zagat]
