Do you love tacos? To judge by how many people looked at our taco slideshow, everybody loves tacos. But how much do you really know about them? Did you know that the best theory is that they’re named for an explosive? (No, we’re not going there.) Anyway, the man who knows tacos more than just about anybody is Jeffrey Pilcher, author of Planet Taco: A Global History of Mexican Food from Oxford University Press, and he’ll be at Chicago Foodways Roundtable tomorrow morning at Kendall College at 10 a.m. to talk about them. It’s $3, with free parking; find out more and reserve your spot here.
