Jose Garces is beefing up the menu at his Garces Trading Company with the addition of a $25 steak frites deal. It’s a dish inspired by the Iron Chef’s visit to France’s Provence region earlier this year, where he celebrated his birthday, and reportedly “fell in love with French bistro fare all over again,” according to the PR pitch. Sure, it’s a humble hanger steak, grilled to guests’ desired temperature and served alongside a heap of GTC’s duck-fat fried potatoes, and a choice of Béarnaise, Bordelaise, or Sauce au Poivre Vert. But there’s more to it than meats meets the eye.

This steak frites is an all-you-can-eat affair! After clearing their plates, beef-eaters who order this dish can request additional servings again and again until their heart’s content. Or hopelessly clogged. It’s now being served daily during lunch and dinner service.
