This Sunday, Charlie Parker, the executive chef at West L.A.’s Freddy Smalls bar & Kitchen, is preparing a payload of pork for a four-course dinner as part of the restaurant’s freshly sprouted “Smalls Society.” Two seatings are available at 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. for $75 per person, including paired cocktails and the employ of fall ingredients in dishes like slow-braised pork cheek ragout with potato dumplings, a roast loin with crisp belly, sunchokes, turnips, and chanterelles, and a date and bacon cake with sea salt and rum cream.
