Fish Relocating… Again

Rather than completely floundering in the wake of a financial tsunmai, Fish has done an admirable job of staying afloat, even while struggling against the currents. Still, it’s a bit perplexing to hear that the highly acclaimed seafooder from Mike Stollenwerk is on the move again. It’s the third time the restaurant’s been relocated this year. But this time, it’s not traveling very far. A rep for Stollenwerk told Grub today that in this latest move, Fish will remain under the Independent Hotel’s roof, but it’s shifting over to the Locust Street side of the corner property. And it’s set to open next Tuesday as a much smaller — just 35 seats, plus a kitchen counter — and intimate operation. The existing restaurant space will soon be transformed into Rhino Bar, a gadtropub-y restaurant that will serve food and drink daily from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. We’ll keep you posted as it comes along.
