If you’re still tripping over that time we accidentally probed your peanut butter with our chocolate, then you probably won’t wanna read this. California schools are being pushed to destroy 2,072 cases of Sunland Inc.’s peanut butter to fend against the threat of salmonella poisoning. An additional 23,040 suspicious cases of the stuff are being eyed at six California food banks in an ongoing case that finds several people sickened across nineteen different states and has widely affected the sale of peanut and almond butters, as well as whole peanuts, at stores like Trader Joe’s, Target, and Fresh ‘n Easy.
