The Great Pumpkin Burger

It certainly sounds like a random hiccup from the Grub Street Gut-Bust-o-Mastic, but this limited edition pumpkin burger being sold by Burger King Japan is legit, and sorta genius. According to Brand Eating, it’s an all-beef patty, bacon, kabocha squash (a.k.a. pumpkin), lettuce, and sauce made from seeds and nuts. And though we can’t quite see it, the bun is also allegedly pumpkin-shaped. One question remains: If pumpkin is in fact the new bacon, what does that leave a sandwich made with both pumpkin and bacon? [Brand Eating , Earlier, Related]
