The changeover from The Boilermaker to The Butcher & The Brewer just might put parent company the Grainery Group in the running for the fastest restaurant turnover prize. That transformation happened in fewer than three weeks. Meal Ticket’s reporting now that the latest update to the property on 11th Street that housed Doc Watson’s for an eternity (and Blue Bear tavern for, like, a minute) will make it’s big debut tonight. Jennifer Choplin, formerly of Watkins Drinkery and Bistrot La Minette, is heading the kitchen. From the name you can gather what her menu’s going to be all about. In addition to kitchen’s meat-forward output, the bars will continue running the previous concept’s shot-and-beer program, and the 40 taps devoted to local and craft brews. [Meal Ticket]
