Earlier this summer we told you about Pizzando, the new Neapolitan pizza joint opening up in a former café space at the Hotel Healdburg. The remodel includes green Italian tile, copper countertops, and rustic wood tables. The consulting pizza chef is former A16 chef Liza Shaw, and she’s been working alongside Louis Maldonado who recently took the helm at Spoonbar down the street. The two have been testing things out at pop-up dinners at Spoonbar, and the menu is still being finalized, but will include a selection of wood-fired pizzas, rustic Italian appetizers, pastas, meats, and desserts. Also, Spoonbar bar manager Cappy Sorentino is putting together a list of cocktails too, along with some of his trendy bottled cocktails.
