Condolences to the family of Jeffrey Russell, longtime owner of Cross-Rhodes, a Greek diner in the Chicago-Main district of Evanston, who died from injuries suffered in an accident in his home above the restaurant Tuesday. Russell, 60, was a familiar figure in his restaurant much liked by customers, as well as an employer who won an award for Service Above Self from Rotary last year for his efforts at staff development and maintaining staff during the economic downturn. His family will continue operating the restaurant. [Evanston Review]
