Campo Fina, the three-month-old restaurant from the folks behind Scopa in downtown Healdsburg, got a rave from Michael Bauer in Sunday’s paper. He says the patio, with its vines and bocce court, “feels like being on vacation,” and he loves rustic dishes like the Old School sandwich, which is “a traditional pork and meatball sandwich on a ciabatta roll, thick with tomato sauce and generously dusted with Parmesan.” He also loves the hard-boiled eggs over pickled celery, the charred octopus, and the salt-cod croquettes. And ever the pizza afficionado, Mr. Bauer says Campo Fina’s pizzas are “among the best in the Bay Area.” Overall he says the place has a “comfortable allure,” and he gives them three stars. [Chron]
