Jim Kilberg was promoted to executive chef at Coco Pazzo from Coco Pazzo Cafe when Chris Macchia left the downtown Italian restaurant to join The Florentine last spring. Now Kilberg is said to be working on a new project with owner Jack Weiss, to be announced soon. So now who’s running Coco Pazzo? The new executive chef will be Federico Comacchio, a native of Lodi, Italy who worked for Michelin starred restaurants in Genoa nd Milan and then for Bice in Paris and Puerto Rico; he came to the U.S. when Phil Stefani’s 437 Rush brought him in in 2001. He joins Coco Pazzo as of October 15.
