Eviction Sticker Slapped On Alain’s Door

South Loop-focused blog Sloopin’ has a report and photo from a reader that Alain’s, the intriguing Cameroonian-influenced restaurant in the 1300 block of South Michigan Avenue, has been slapped with a fluorescent green eviction sticker by the sheriff. Commenters also report that hired security (presumably from the landlord) is watching the building as well, presumably to prevent removal of property. There are no details, and this may merely be one step in a dispute that doesn’t necessarily mean the restaurant is done for, but it’s not exactly promising for the future of an interesting, and very new, spot that may never get a chance to show what it’s about.
