Craft & Claw, the long-awaited seafood and craft beer joint that’s replacing Mad River on the 100 block of Chestnut Street, makes its debut tonight. The restaurant and bar, which as its name suggests, specializes in crabs, crab legs — Alaskan Snow Crab, King Crab and Northwest Dungeness — and other wonders of the sea, and pairing them with an assortment of local and craft brews. While tonight marks the opening, Grand Opening celebrations are taking place on Friday and Saturday nights.
After opening the new spot will feature daily happy hours with specials on food and drinks from 5 to 7 p.m., all you can eat snow crab legs and seasoned steak fries for $25 on Mondays, and all you can eat blue crabs for $25 on Wednesdays.
In addition to crabs and crab legs, Craft & Claw’s menus feature a bunch of small and larger plates like Baltimore-style mozzarella sticks with Old Bay seasoning, chicken wings, which are also offered in a B’more style, fish tacos, burgers, and fish and chips. For your drinking pleasure, there’s the aforementioned beer, and a selection of house cocktails that includes a Charm City-inspired Orange Crush, which is made with orange juice, vodka, triple sec and Sprite.
