In terms of fan-boy food programming, Wylie Dufresne set a high bar at last year’s New York Comic-Con, but fear not, two new heroes emerge from the fray to join next month’s festivities: First, Brooklyn Brewery will release the limited-edition Defender, a pale ale with an origin story involving Beer Gods, Anti-Beer Gods, and hops. Then, look up! It’s Iron Man Chef Lambs Club chef Geoffrey Zakarian, who’ll probably not be wearing a cape but a crisp chef’s jacket when he presides over an intimate, limited-seating dinner with writer/artist Jonathan Hickman and Marvel men Joe Quesada and CB Cebulski, who knows a thing or two about food himself.
