This is a nice counterpoint to the troubling news of old taco meat found in city cafeterias: Boston public-school students will now get complimentary breakfasts each morning, regardless of their family’s income. Urban tykes now start the day with pancakes, eggs, and sausage; schools hope this will curb splurges on things like candy and soda on the way to school and eliminate possible embarrassment for kids who were getting subsidized meals.
