Wolfgang Puck Express Upgrades Into a Full-Service Restaurant

Wolfgang Puck is in full reinvention mode this summer. Not only is he rehabbing Spago, but he’s changed the concept at his ubiquitous Wolfgang Puck Express, the chef’s fast-casual offshoot that you probably pass at a dozen airports. Already serving now but grand-opening on September 13 in LAX’s Terminal 7, the new WPE will be the first with a full-service, sit-down dining room serving a bigger menu that adds to the quick-serve selection of pizzas and sandwiches, along with a central bar stocked with booze for the airport’s captive audience.

The Bar

Other additions include a self-order kiosk, perfect for the slim percentage of people who have mastered those tricky self check-in machines, and a new rustic design that promises to buck “what’s typically expected in an airport setting,” according to a press release.
