Atwater Village is about to carry the lion’s share of Scottish grub with the opening of a new restaurant from Stout co-owner Charles Lew called The Morrison, currently under construction with help from Spacecraft on Los Feliz Road, just a caber’s toss from fellow brave-heart Tam O’Shanter Inn. Okay, that only means it will have two, but still, that’s about two more than most fookin’ L.A. neighborhoods currently carry. The gastropub will be more of a Scottish-themed contemporary than a hardcore place to hang one’s haggis, with Lew announcing in a press release that it will pay homage to Caledonia through a modern take on the country’s culture and culinary fare. The owner spent some time growing up among the Highlanders and his mother is also from Scotland. So whaddya say? Let’s get pissed!
