Brad’s Raw Foods, a Bucks County-based manufacturer of chips and snacks made from raw, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, is getting a helping hand for its fast-growing business. The Business Journal reports that Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a non-profit that provides locals upstarts with capital for technology projects, has awarded the company a $100,000 investment. The money’s earmarked for the advanced dehydration systems that Brad’s Raw Chips uses to make its snacks that are chemical, preservative, trans-fat, and gluten free. It’s the only company working in the snacks sector to receive a piece of the $1.375 million the group handed out. [PBJ]
