Punjabi Tadka Brings Curry, Optimism to Arlington Center

More vindaloo for you!
More vindaloo for you!

The Arlington Patch reports that Punjabi Tadka opened for business this weekend, evidenced by several balloons bobbling out front. The Indian restaurant is owned by the dynamo behind Cambridge’s India Castle and Medford’s very tasty Kabab Corner.

Hopefully it sticks around. Sadly, 444 Mass Ave. has been home to a rotating array of failed restaurants, including Kayuga, Asiana Grille, and Midami. Complicating matters is the location: Right across the street is the stalwart Punjab, and Guru the Caterer is just over the Somerville border. How much curry can one town take? We’ll find out.
