The L.A. Times’ intrepid Betty Hallock takes to five of L.A.’s noisiest restaurants with a sound meter app strapped to her cellie in an attempt to measure just how crazy loud these places are getting with their hard floors, high ceilings, and pounding beats. She targets all the right suspects, finding Night +Market, Bottega Louie, and Laurel Hardware coming in just behind the head-splitting volumes at A-Frame and Picca, which reflect the same decibel levels as “factory machinery at 3 feet.” Of course, the scribe also notes, “nobody seems to mind.” [LAT; Earlier]
