Saison owners, chef Joshua Skenes and sommelier Mark Bright, have confirmed that the pair is starting a new project in the 4,000 square foot restaurant space in the Arc Light Co. building at 178 Townsend, which is currently undergoing restoration. Skenes tells Scoop that there are still lots of details to be ironed out, but the deal is done. The duo have been seeking a larger space for Saison for quite a while, including a potential location in Jackson Square last year, but as of today Saison is staying at its Mission location for the time being. It sounds like it’s not yet settled whether they plan to move and expand, or just expand, but given the occasional troubles with their current location we would guess a move is in the works next year.
