Mendocino Farms isn’t forgetting where it comes from. Following a citywide advance that has taken the locavore sandwich chain to West Hollywood and Marina del Rey, L.A. Downtown News announces that co-owner Mario Del Pero is planning a third Downtown location with a mid-October opening in mind. Mendo will occupy 3,000-squre-feet inside of the Figat7th mall following its $40 million reopening on October 14, in the largest Downtown location of the sandwich mini-chain that gets described as a “flagship,” much as the most recent opening at Fairfax and Third was referred to, as well. The 80-seat store will have beer and wine and serve its same menu for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
