Food network personality and producer Marc Summers is counting his lucky stars today after an accident last week “wiped out” much of the left side of his face. Summers was in a cab on his way home from shooting Restaurant Impossible when the taxi’s driver hydroplaned and lost control. Summers head was slammed into the partition that separates the driver from passengers. According to Fox News, he underwent four hours of emergency reconstructive surgery to fix up his face. He’s on the mend now, and feeling pretty good despite impaired vision in his left eye from swelling and a lot of pain. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. [myfoxphilly]
