First Look at Lolinda, Opening Tonight in the Former Medjool

Tonight marks the opening of the new replacement for Medjool, the Argentinian-inspired steakhouse Lolinda. As we’ve mentioned once or twice before, the man behind it all is Adriano Paganini, the successful restaurateur behind Beretta, Starbelly, and Super Duper, and this is his biggest project to date. The popular roof deck is getting a remodel and won’t reopen until later in the fall, but once it does the total seating capacity will be a the restaurant opens tonight after a weekend of pre-opening festivities, including a preview party Saturday night that featured tango dancers tangoing up and down the stairs in the main dining room.

We should have the menu for you shortly, which features a variety of skewers and ceviches, as well as a focus on wood-grilled steak. The chef is Alejandro Morgan, and the bar program is being headed up by Beretta alum Lane Ford, who recently spent some time behind the bar at Death & Co. in New York.
