A Dinner to Fête Julia Child: Bon Appétit!

After the release of the movie Julie & Julia, it seems that every housewife and her sister wanted to start a food blog, garner a publishing deal, and achieve fame and fortune. Though that scenario is highly unlikely, Julia Child is still muse and personal favorite of many gastro enthusiasts, including our very own Jared van Camp of Nellcote and Old Town Social. Julia’s “dishes are consistent, they stand the test of time, and she has this knack for taking exquisite French cuisine and preparing it in a way that’s approachable and less intimidating. It’s why everyone loved her,” said van Camp. In fact, he’s such a fan of Child that he plans to commemorate her 100th birthday with a special pre-fixe menu at Old Town Social, this Wednesday, August 15.

The 3-course meal will feature actual recipes from Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

1st Course
