51 Lincoln’s Jeff Fournier Is a Busy, Busy Man

Jeff Fournier was in the news a few months ago because he’s the rumored chef at the Liquid Art House, a forthcoming Lithuanian (!) restaurant in the Back Bay. Now the Boston Business Journal reports that Fournier has bought a new restaurant of his very own from the team who owns Brookline’s Cognac Bistro.

Apparently Fournier put down money on 11-year-old Kouzina in Waban Square. He’ll rename the place Waban Kitchen, and we’re guessing that he’ll replicate the tried-and-true upscale neighborhood formula that’s been so successful at 51 Lincoln. Nelson and Joanna Cognac currently own the spot, but it seems to be getting too much for them: “We’re not getting any younger,” she told the Journal.

As of now, no word on what this means for Fournier’s Lithuanian dreams.
