Inman Square’s lovable All Star Sandwich Bar makes a cameo on a new Fox News/Gayot list of the country’s top-ten cheap eats nationwide. It’s in extremely good company, too, sandwiched between some very buzzy places.
Also on the list: Pok Pok in Brooklyn and salivation station Mission Chinese (the San Francisco original, not the newish New York spin-off). Such lists are often bizarre and arbitrary, but in this case, we agree: After all, where else in Boston can we order a trio of deviled eggs for 99 cents?
