Elsewhere in the gastrosphere the food truck schtick might be wearing a little thin, but here in our quaint backwater burg, the four-wheeler scene keeps on truckin’. Round-ups organized with the help of the Philadelphia Mobile Food Association (PMFA) are not only gaining in size, but frequency too. This week’s Mt. Airy installment of the Food Trust’s popular Night Market series is shaping up to be the largest one ever. And following it, the Piazza plays host to PMFA’s Beach Bonanza, a beachy-themed affair that will have upwards of a dozen food trucks rolling up on Northern Liberties. There will be booze too, courtesy of Piazza’s bars, who are going to mix up some speical drinks inspired by the trucks that participating. Plus kiddie pools, balloon artists, DJ’s, and movies will help facilitate the beach vibe. Click through to see the full lineup.
