Several of Charlie Trotter’s most illustrious proteges will return for the last night of service at his restaurant, August 31, including Graham Elliot, Bill Kim, Mindy Segal and Koren Grieveson, as well as Food Network chef Anne Burrell. Though it’s not exactly the event that was first announced— which would have been a backyard BBQ, where he talked of inviting people like Anthony Bourdain— it will be a more informal affair than last Sunday’s lavish gala. The now-celebrity chefs will serve signature dishes in an open tasting throughout the restaurant, and sommeliers Larry Stone and Ryan Stetins will be serving demijohns of Jungle Juice and Sangria.
