It looks like Fork owners Ellen Yin and Roberto Sella have found their replacement for outgoing chef Terence Feury. He stepped down recently to focus on Tavro 13, the top-to-bottom redo of the Old Swedes Inn in Swedesboro, New Jersey. His former sous chef Luke Eschbach has been holding down the kitchen in his absence. According to the Insider, soon-to-be New York transplant Eli Kulp, the former chef de cuisine at Torrisi Italian Specialties is now stepping in to head the Old City mainstay’s kitchen. But that’s not all. We have more chef news to share.
Forthcoming Growlers, that’s Jason Evenchik’s revival of the Bella Vista bar and restaurant formerly known as Little Bar (and Vesuvio before that), has hired a chef too. Foobooz reports that he’s Jerry Donohue, and that in the past he was the top dog at Spamps and Blue Bell Country Club. He is also a member of the competitive barbecue team Master Basters who took the top honors at last year’s Smoke ’Em If Youse Got ’Em contest at Yards Brewing Co., which means his menu will frequently feature smoky delicious specials in addition to the pub fare that’s going to be served there. An opening is expected in mid-September.
