A new restaurant and bar is on its way to the former Maharani space (1122 Post Street) called Bitters, Bock & Rye. It’s a new project from the guys behind Blur (1121 Polk Street) around the corner, which recently had a run-in with the ABC because they weren’t serving food like they were supposed to. There will definitely be food at the new spot, with a menu of (mostly) Texas barbecue from chef Aaron Little, and as Tablehopper reports, they’re planning to have twelve to eighteen beers on tap, including some home brews. Also, there’ll be a cocktail and spirits list focused on bourbon, Scotch, and tequila. Look for it to open around mid-October, if all goes well. [Tablehopper]
