Bottom's up, A Town!
Bottom’s up, A Town!

Right now the gateway to Arlington from Cambridge is a sad, abandoned Hollywood Video, a depressing reminder that Netflix didn’t always exist. That’ll change come November, when the Menotomy Grille and Tavern opens, thrilling the legions of locals who’ve had to cross into Cambridge to enjoy a proper drink.

Expect a full bar (something the town sorely lacks), plus hearty delicacies like pulled pork sandwiches and Shepherd’s pie, reports the Globe and the Patch. According to a comment on the Patch, the place will be “an upscale eating establishment! Run by true professionals, that have a tremendous amount of experience in the restaurant business.” Meanwhile, other residents worry about boozebags having too much fun.
