Quincy Church Jilts the Tilted Kilt

The Tilted Kilt is basically the Scottish equivalent of Hooters—picture, if you will, a Celtic-style sports pub where women dress in “revealing” kilts and plaid bras, slinging delicacies like “big arse burgers” and “tilted teasers.” The chain got its start in Vegas (naturally), but they won’t have an easy time opening in Quincy if one church has its way.

“Establishments such as this are not conducive to good family neighborhoods in St. John’s or any other neighborhood in Quincy,” says the Quincy Licensing Board, who received a complaint from neighboring St. John the Baptist Church, which considers the idea of scantily clad waitresses selling booze a bit, well, sinful. We think Quincy’s seen worse.
