After currying favor with nearly ever restaurant critic orbiting in the local gastrosphere for his small plates approach to the American palette, how does Stateside chef George Sabatino go about outdoing himself? Easy. With lunch! Today the East Passyunk Ave. hotspot debuts daytime service, and a new menu for lunch. Like its evening, a la carte precursor, the new bill of fare features precious little plates plus some sandwiches and larger dishes. Dishes like a grilled watermelon salad, and steamed mussels are on offer, while the much raved about bone marrow and truffle sausage gets the sandwich treatment. Going froward lunch will be served Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. Keep reading to peep the full menu.
