Saint Benjamin Brewing Company, the nanobrewery upstart that was already shot down once by the Zoning Board for plans to go pro, received the unanimous support last week from the South Kensington Community Partners to begin making beer and serving it inside 1710 North Fifth Street. Northeast Times Star reports that SBBC founder and brewmaster Tim Patton hopes to be brewing up beer by fall, and have a brewpub pouring house brews by the end of the year, provided the community’s unyielding support helps move his appeal to the Zoning Board along. Over on Facebook, Patton’s saying that he’s filing the proper paperwork with LCB to get his brewery and brewpub license. Should all go according to plan, Saint Benjamin will brew, package and distribute beer, and serve it to the public from the in-house bar. [NETS]
