Pizza Roma Goes Gluten-Free; Peruvian Independence Day at Raymi

• Every Wednesday, Pizza Roma will be offering gluten-free pizzas, starting July 25. [Grub Street]

• The do-gooders over at Hot Bread Kitchen, the nonprofit that provides paid training for low-income and foreign-born women to become professional bakers (and also happens to serve mouthwatering bread), have opened up a retail location in Spanish Harlem’s La Marqueta. [Grub Street]

• Celebrate Peruvian Independence Day this weekend (we’ll use any excuse to drink pisco sours) with a $34 three-course, prix fixe menu at Raymi. [Grub Street]

• Tickets are on sale Tuesday for this fall’s Brooklyn Shaken & Stirred event. [Grub Street]

MexiBBQ is doing a play on that whole Christmas-in-July thing, offering up three high-alcohol, wintry ales. Hey, why not? [Grub Street]

Hester Nights gears up for the Olympics (along with everyone else in America), with food from Japan, China, Korea, El Salvador, and more this Thursday. Also Thursday, from 6 to 10 p.m., their concept store is having a party with free food, drinks, and live band (Le1f, in case you’re curious, plus a D.J. set by Lemonade). [Grub Street]
