The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company, the eager-to-franchise breakfast empire that opened in March 2011 to Beverly Hills with a hand from spokesperson/occasional delivery boy Larry King, is expanding to three more storefronts in L.A. in the next few months.

As the business spreads across the U.S., we see a branch coming to the corner of La Brea and Sixth Street, another on its way to Sepulveda near LAX, and most likely opening first and soon, a branch of Brooklyn Water Bagel at 2700 South Figueroa, just a bagel’s throw from USC. Last we’d heard from the brand, it was dealing with a litigious Florida diner who was suing the company, claiming that it was misleading guests over its purported water-filter treatment intended to recreate Brooklyn’s own H2O. Whether that, or a three-star Yelp review, will affect its chances with Trojans remains to be seen.
