Be still our butter-clogged hearts! On Monday, July 16, David LeFevre’s M.B. Post is hosting a 40th birthday party for the chef at his “Can You Dig It?” guest series, with proceeds going to benefit Common Threads. Joining the chef-owner on this one-night dinner party will be the two chefs from Animal (Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook), the double-sided chefs from Sotto (Steve Samson and Zach Pollack), along with Mozza’s latest James Beard-winner Matt Molina, and Zoe Nathan, of Rustic Canyon, Huckleberry, and Milo & Olive. These seven chefs will collaborate on a five-course menu highlighting produce from some of the markets’ most trusted names, like Windrose Farms, Coastal Farms, Harry’s Berries (who are having their own farm tour and dinner on July 28).
Two seatings will be held at 5:45, 6:00, and 6:15 P.M. and again at 8:00, 8:15, and 8:30 P.M. to accommodate all willing to pay $80 for dishes like pickled beets and gem lettuce with green garlic creme fraiche from Shook and Dotolo or veal cheek alla vaccinara with bitter chocolate agrodolce and semolina gnoccho from Sotto.
