Last year, we told you about 2nd Ave Deli’s artery-clogging legal battle with the southwest’s Heart Attack Grill. At issue: the Deli’s “Heart-Attack Sandwich” and “Triple Bypass Sandwich,” which the Heart Attack Grill said violated its legal rights to all foodstuffs that are in any way named after life-threatening heart conditions. (To be fair, the Grill’s food really does work.) Well, good news, New York. A federal judge ruled in the deli’s favor, so everyone in New York can still get the half-pound of pastrami stuffed between two fried latkes. Phew! [NYDN, Earlier]
