Graham Elliot To Be Inducted Into Chicago Chefs Hall of Fame

Remember in Goodfellas how Joe Pesci goes off to the ceremony to get made as a mafioso, but instead they… Oh, nothing, really, we were just remembering that scene. Anyway, on a totally different subject, congratulations to Graham Elliot, who just a few days after tossing a food writer out of one of his restaurants, has been announced as the recipient of the 2012 Chef of the Year award from The Chicago Culinary Museum, joining the ranks of such illustrious figures as Charlie Trotter, Rick Bayless, Carrie Nahabedian, and other chefs we can’t name because you can’t actually click on the museum’s website. The event, which will also honor Pastry Chef Jacquy Pfeiffer of The French Pastry School, will be September 19 at the Chicago Hilton & Towers. No word on who the master of ceremonies will be… maybe they can find someone who does food on local TV.
