The 28-year-old chef, philosopher, and co-owner of Bed-Stuy’s rule-breaking Do or Dine restaurant, has won the latest season of Food Network Star, which means you’ll be seeing more of the “Rebel With a Culinary Cause” when his show of the same name premieres this fall. Warner, who with chutzpah and a bevy of audience votes, has been known to don papal threads and rap about old-growth grapes. Post-win, he’s been keeping his personal Twitter account spoiler-free and low-key but is no doubt celebrating right now with his rhyme book. It was all a dream, you know, he used to read Gourmet magazine, Salt-N-Pepa all up on the baby cattle spleen. Or something. [Food Network]
