A true classic of self force-feeding, the Long Beach Crawfish Festival returns on Saturday and Sunday at Rainbow Lagoon. The scene includes live zydeco, a lot of drunk adults “dancing” to it, and New Orleans specialties like beignets on offer. This year, organizers have had to hike up the fee to enter and dig into a bucket of crawfish up to $28, supposedly due to low supplies and high demand. Tickets are available online. Saturday and Sunday at noon, 400-403 Shoreline Village Dr. Long Beach. [LBCF]
