It’s all about the sausage.

As we mentioned earlier in the week, sausage and sweet pie emporium Pig & Pie (2962 24th Street) is making its debut at long last, and we have confirmation from owner Miles Pickering that they passed their inspections and are open for business as of today. They’ll be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and until 1 a.m. on the weekends, serving up stuff like bratwurst, Chicago-style hot dogs, and changing daily specials like buffalo sausage, and a Reuben sandwich. For late breakfast/brunch, they’re offering a skillet dish of baked eggs with chorizo, salsa verde, and roasted poblanos, only available from 11 a.m. to noon each day. Also, there is pie.

The standards will be Shaker lemon and spiced pecan, and there will be seasonal favorites too, like cherry. (Follow them on Twitter for updates on flavors and such.) See the full menu here.

Also, there’s wine, and local beers on tap like Linden Street’s Burning Oak Black Lager, and Northcoast Brewery’s Le Merle Saison.

See our slideshow of the space, which they transformed from its former life as the Discolandia record shop. You’ll note, they opted to keep the beloved signage out front, and just added their own.

Pig & Pie - 2962 24th Street at Harrison - 415-401-8770 - Open Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
