Confirming an earlier rumor, Yankees-themed restaurant NYY Steak will open its third location, this one in midtown at 7 West 51st Street. The chainlet is a partnership between the baseball team and Hard Rock Café that specializes in porterhouses and pinstripe memorabilia; aside from its original location in Yankee Stadium, a second NYY Steak is conveniently located inside a Coconut Creek, Florida, casino. The steakhouse is said to be planning to put its pinstripes down all over, though, and representatives of NYY Steak are likely, at this very moment, trying to outbid the auctiongoers at the newly closed Mickey Mantle’s.
