The shuttered Shimo space (241 Healdsburg Avenue), dark since November after the Cyrus offshoot Shimo Modern Steak never quite took off, has a taker: Kendall-Jackson Winery. The wine giant has claimed the space for K-J Café, a culinary café with chef Jason Wangler handling the food. Obviously, in addition to a small-plates menu, it will be a place for Kendall-Jackson to showcase its wine on the Healdsburg town square, as BiteClub reports. But that’s not all for new winery-related food establishments in town.
Seghesio Family Vineyards has plans to open Healdsburg Meat Co., a meat and salumi café in the former town post office. More on that as we know it.
