Jen Carroll’s Concrete Blonde getting derailed by skittish investors doesn’t necessarily mean that Philly will go without a seafood small plates experience. Over at newly re-conceptualized Fish, which is back in action as of Friday after a brief interruption in regularly scheduled service, a new menu gives the restaurant’s namesake specialty the small plates treatment. Downsized dishes include striped bass with Linquica sausage, fingerling confit, kale, and caldo verde; chicken fried monkfish with creamy bean salad, radish, chipotle vinaigrette; and chargrilled octopus with chickpea, braised lamb shank, shishito pepper, and yogurt. In addition to smaller plates, the newly revived restaurant has larger dishes for sharing and a courtyard with seating for up to 24. Keep reading to check out the menu.
