Nicholas Rotundo, one of the owners of FireBird, the Russian restaurant in the theater district, is getting locked up for screwing the state out of almost a half-million dollars in sales taxes. Rotundo (why is the name just so perfect?) and his team insist that the restaurant was has been suffering because of the economy, and has recently been on the up ‘n up. Nonetheless, looks like jail’tundo is inevitable. [WSJ]
